Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
See the extra support under the bed, Aussie Dual Cab don’t have them but I have seen them on the Samba in American Dual Cabs. It will add more support and will be covered in like this

I don't want to put pressure on anyone, but you seem to be working like a man possessed !!!
Is it Valla - the goal that your fast approaching ??? For us mear mortal's - I'd say no ! But you well that's another question.
Great work and some good ideas you incorporate into your builds - it's the small details.

Yeah Valla it is, I’m going for it
Another big day of cutting and welding
Had the cabin 5 mm too high on the drivers side and now it’s all making sense and perfect level all the way round with the laser now
Panels test fit nice with no tension
And got the front door into a manageable gap

Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
Oh Wow, with the goal now confirmed - this thread just went next level.
As someone who uses lasers quite regualry in my job, they do make the job so much easier.
I even rip mine out for my bus when i played around with the suspension to make sure it sat level - left to right etc... Then used the adjusters to dial it in.
Good stuff....no pressure from around Australia we're all rooting for ya
By this pace.... probably make the Sydney VW Nationals !!! ..... hmmm Shauno

Nationals are 16 weeks away, seems like a better challenge to me, Shaun and me can park next to each other

Drivers side bed support made, and tacked the repair panel on, going to have a go at tig welding it, just got to turn it around so the welder is closer. Test fitted the seat support that I made last year, been worried that the floor was a bit crappy but you hardly see any of it
