Some more pictures of the body work, so far we've used 3 1200 by 2400 sheets of body metal, but finally getting there. Unfortunately progress has been halted because we're waiting on rear jack points.

- At some stage someone had flared the mudguards so we had to replace the sheet metal on the sides. Otherwise dupious amounts of bog would've been required like was used before.

- Old treasure chest door was rusted beyond repair so we cut out the vents and made a new one.

He said he does'nt have any photos, he bought it of a mate who was gonna restore it but did'nt, he got it on the road used to run a 40hp motor with reduction boxes and said it used to draw a lot of attention and it was hard to steer with the fat wheels on the front, apparently they were 928 polished alloys, apparently he spent way more on it than what he got back for it!, sold it to some young guy in sydney that's all!,
Look forward to seeing it at a DSK meet, your doing a good job.

Here are some more pics of progress, would appreciate any help in choosing a colour scheme(never thought it would be so hard).

- Had to spot weld over the indicator holes, a 'little' bit of bog and hopefully you'll never know they were there.

- The hinge carrier for the engine lid was rusted out so we had to make a new one. You wouldn't think there was so much work involved but getting the hinges inside made it complicated.

awsome work, who needs ill fitting import panels, great job
as for a colour id be tempted to go a one colour scheme like all chestnut brown then sign written to show its history with all the fruit etc just with alittle more of your own style but thats just me, oh id also add a 4 inch narrowed beam a set of kombi rescue dropped king and link pin spindles to add to the flavour , but again thats just me
what ever you do it will be sweet i am sure
