time to spice up the 65 sliding door pannel

Post by richie morena »

Thought it was about time to sort out the 65 so , out came the seized stock 1500 motor , have removed stock gearbox and reduction boxes, converted it to straight axel and fitted a 3inch narrowed beam , also have fitted csp front and rear discs.
Just have to finish building the 2110cc dual dellorto motor fit and run .
will keep posted with my progress and some more pictures.
Dam its cold out side .....

I'm looking forward to further updates. I like this bus in a big way.
By the way Richie, are you going to maintain the high tech hand brake?
I heard of a mod to make relasing easier...a bit of rope!

What happened? low oil? putting it into reverse at 60mph? that looks expensively familiar

the van was on its way down south and the engine was a little low on oil , the guy driving had done a 400mile trip a couple of weeks before and did not check the oil .
if you notice that there is no oil spilt around the hole, the engine bay was clean and no oil under the van !

wow reminds me of the excuse to nrma (road service here in nsw ritchie)
lady blew her motor due to no oil & nrma bloke asked why she didnt check the oil her response was she does check the but the dipstick must be the wrong one as it does not reach the oil hah hah hah hah "true".
love reading your posts ritchie & is there any chance of a full shot of this bus the colour looks dark blue or black.
cheers wally

Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!
