nose job

Post by pmgbus »

whether its pinholes, one hole or ten holes, it still equates to exactly the same thing. cut it off and start again. buses with minor rust in the nose still need a lot of work to bring back, or if u r very unlucky and some smuck has left the seam off, then u really have to start again.

been there, done that - twice. They guru that repaired mine - added 3" to the bottom too. Used the oxy to heat bend it into shape, and then we welded washers to 'pull' it into shape - worked a treat and wasn't a big effort on the outer skin, the 'work' was in the inner, on the hinge backs.

bodywork

Post by pmgbus »

it all comes down to what sort of job u want, how much u can afford, then finding someone that has time and interest to do it. dont know sydney prices, but 10k-12k would see a reasonable straight van or ute rust repaired, panel beated, so that it doesnt have more than 1mm bog,(its a filler not a dent fixer!) and 2pack paint inside and out (baked)so long as the panels are reasonable.ie reasonable fit , no major accident damage, minor dents usual rust in nose, sills and jacking points. gates cost$$$$ to repair nicely as everyone is finding out, if u pay someone else, so u would want to add 2k to that price if your gates are shagged.

Did you get advised to buff it or not? 2pac I assume>
