some progress- Drivers side on

Post by nicko »

The drivers side has been removed and replaced with the new one and work has started on the passengers side. Steve said it took a long toime to get the drivers side right as the body was a fair bit out of allignment due to the damage that had been done to this side
Cheers Nicko

Thanks for the positive comments and I cant wait to get it back on the road. Unfortunately I cant claim the work as my own as it is Steve Hopkins the panel beater who is doing the work. I don't have enough time with 3 kids under 6 to do this and probably don't have the skills either(Like to think I can do a bit but I am bloody slow!)
Yes Zeuspig it was from Toowoomba- bought off a guy named Warwick on ebay late last year.

Mikki havent been on the bike since I were at your place. Done a few ocean swims though- does not hurt my knees as much.

I will give you a call soon as I will need to bring it down to Sydney soon. What are you up to with the 55

Yep its coming along nicely. There is always more rust than you expect. The battery tray, some roof rust and and maybe the nose to go. I have not decided whether I will get the nose fixed as yet as there is no rust just a big dent. I want to get it regoed with as much original paint as possible and drive it that way for a while.
Picked up a 36 horse for it today for nothing. I have 3 of now so hopefully one of them should be a goer.
