Trip to Chiengmai THAILAND:-)

Just wanna share my trip story with Australian guy here.
My name is PAT, I live in Bangkok, Thailand.

On April 12th 2007. I got a chance to Chiengmai, northern part of Thailand,
to join SONGKRAN fastival, it's like water day. Actually it's Thailand's
traditional newyear.

I left one of my splitty in Chiengmai. This is the trip with him. It's my 1964 Graf bus.

If anyone of your guy wants to visit Thailand. I can be your advise.

I drove my graf to fix rear suspension a month ago.

My machanic guy forget to install reduction gear box

but he can run!

Actually I modify the rear suspension by replace the bug tranny
(freeway flyer) and drive shaft tube from '66 bug.
Also for the brake too.

He could run up to 140 Kms/Hr.

Ther are milions of bugs in this town. You cant imagine it.

Coffee brake in the evening.

The Chang Cafe is available at JJ market (Talard tieng kub).
Many foreigner know this place.

Next to Chang cafe is VW bus Street bar.

Stay for 4 days in this Hotel "Come-on"

The owner is bus mania too.

He got 1967 kombi and 1965 13 window.
Actually he got 1962 double door, walkthru but,
already burnt to the ground.

The last day of my trip is to go to Jomthong and Maewang.

Join with 3 buses. This is 1960 15 window.

Swet all the trip.

Chiengmai is called "town of temple" There are over
2000 temples arround the town. You can see the lion
look alike (we call Singha) at the front of temple.
This is northern style temple. It's different from
Bangkok and others.
