no worries deano if you want there here but i would agree with the masses
get a 11 window & sell the panel to pay for it, the amount of panels being restoed & kept would suggest there is little left for the market & yours would
pull in top price.
cheers wally

each to their own hey.. panels are shite for family fun time.. back in the day people butchered them with cruddy looking homejob windows.. at least with this one you won't notice, cause it will look like an original 11 window... dean has a very very solid base... if he gets another one he wont know what its like cause he wasnt as involved in the process like this one.. i can understand.. (not that i'd do it.. cause my family comes second to the split)

Thanks Timmy, it is a shame, but the fact it is a rare bird has no influence on the value people put on it ... eveyone wants a bargain. I was a dumb shit to sell it in the first place, given I sold it for less than the cost of the work that was done to it, and now bought it back for more than I sold it....hahaha...but it's worth every cent.
I wish I could get into an 11 in the same condition for the same money ... but it aint gonna happen, and its just more economically viable to go this way.
If you want to save it, buy it off me or gimme an 11 in the same condition.

wheres the pics joel? - stop at 11 because I want a camper? = never been into lotsawindows ... dont see the fuss. Commercials are where it's at, especially working panels. But then fire buses, ambos are getting harder to find ...
65Busser showed me some camper porn, now I want some of that action ... just lack the $$$$ to get into something like that ... sure I'll be happy with it, and sure most people wont spot the damn difference.

And while you're cutting why don't you just stretch it, chop it and shove a V8 in it.
The day will come when people say "Oh, panels are rare now but I remember when there were good panels about and people cut and welded 11 window sections into them."
Frenzix is right......the split comes first.
And now I'll be leaving this thread at the risk of projectile vomitting.

Hey CCC
Looking at this thread made me think there may be a way forward
http://www.dsk.com.au/dsk/forum/viewtop ... highlight=
I may be out of line, and I know you've virtually decided to sell, but would it be possible to just convert to windowed DD, and keep panel doors on hand. This way, the family gets the camper, and the bus stays panel. Just how hard would it be to put in extra cargo doors? Seems a shame to part with a rust free, when you know the next one will have some issues. Otherwise good luck with the sale.
