Greetings...

Post by bally »

Just a quick note to introduce myself. I'm Dave and live on the (not so) sunny English south coast in Hove.

I've got a couple of aircooled vdubs having only recently got back into the scene after an enforced break of about 10years. I'm loving it! Things have changed a lot in that time, especially in the quality of aftermarket products and technology for modern upgrades.

I'm a stock man at heart, but where it is necessary I will look to use some modern technology to get to my goal - I met Anthony (Golden Fleece) and Jim out at the Classic in LA last month and picked up a copy of the excelelnt VW in Australia book. You could say that was a true global event!

Here's to a great time on this forum. One thing that puzzles me is that I am often unable to see any photos on some threads. There have obviosly been photos there as others are commenting on them, but I see nothing, no space for a photo, no icon, nothing. Any idea what is causing that? It is hampering my research! This is not on every thread, maybe it is just on older ones?

Cheers for now,

Dave

Cheers Jim, that works a treat - now I'll be spending even longer on here - that'll make me popular at home! It's good to see what everyone has been raving about in their posts. I don't have to be logged in to see pictures in every post, but being logged in certainly seems to help. Magic!

Thanks tombi, we have friends from Melbourne staying aty the moment and the first question they asked when I picked them up yesterday was 'where's summer?'

I am trying to attach a picture of one of my rides - I hope it works... It won best in class at Beach Buggin last August when this photo was taken.

Cheers,

Dave
