Poor old ute
Found this on the weekend, 57-58 singlecab.
It has had the rear end torn out for a buggy I presume. Lesson to be learned here is chase up leads as soon as you get them as somebody with big guns and small brains has shot the shit out of it since I found out about it but didn't chase it up. Probably was border line restorable but probably only good for parts now.

Upside down like that she's probably pretty straight. Look at that sill! Im interested in doglegs and doors if you part her, but at least look to see if she can stay together first. Bullet holes dont seem so bad.

helmut would be worth taking a few mates & turn it over
to have a better look & see if you can bring it back to life
or for the parts.
ok its upside down but still looks as good as any other in
that state.
cheers wally
p.s. have you seen what those brake/taillights have going for $$$$$$

it would be touch and go as to weather or it would be a project as the roof and tops of the b pillars are gone as well as many other bad spots. I will be going back to get it in the next few weeks so i can roll it over and recheck it all then.
i don't know how big the gun these boys were using was but the holes are all going in from one side and going through up to 5 layers of steel, even the wheel has a hole big enough to stick my finger in. they have managed to hit most usable parts.
ill get more pics up once iv'e picked it up

no worries 4tune8 and every one else, i'll check it all over after i pick it up and decide on its future.
i have seen worse restored so who knows.
the main tricky bits with this is that the main chassis rails have a few bullet holes and the gear box mount looks to have been smashed off the torsion tube when the gearbox was taken but i suppose it wouldn't be to hard the weld a new peice in.
