finally got round to posting some pics of the bus.some of you will reconise it and know it but since i have had it i save gutted it back to a shell and starting from scratch with everything rebuilt/relaced a long the way, also added some extra windows now making a 13 window. The dreaded rot was everywhere so blasting was the go after months of welding and grinding the light is getting closer at the end of the panel work tunnel
hopefully over the next month i will be putting on the new side panels and finishing off the remainder of the panel work.
The underside is fully rebuilt with new metal and painted with the running gear back in

I knew it was full of rust but you sure found more than expected.
Is that a new nose skin and if so where from?

yes it is a new front skin it was supplied by george at classic veedub,
as with all repro panels they need a bit of work to get them to fit and will need a fine skim over with some filler, but at least when you put a full skin like this on you have the chance to get rid of all the rust.We have done a complete front skin on another resto we are doing on a dsker's
ride and it needed the same work to get it to fit

does anyone know if a 66 13 window was made in oz.i have looked around and can only find a upto a 64 13window which was built in oz.were they imported from germany after that as i am unsure what vents would have been in it.If they made a 66 in oz it would have had 8 outward facing vents or if it was imported from europe it would have the 10 inward facing vents as we have started making the side panels and i am unsure which vents would be correct
cheers

Hoping you don't mind if I share your post :) but on the same theme, my '62 15 window has 8 outward facing vents while others in Oz that I have seen photos of have 9 outward facing vents. Can anyone please explain this to me?
No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you......
