Hi

Post by kombinationskraftwagen »

Just posted elsewhere on the site, and realised that I have now been a member for over a year, but haven't actually said g'day. My name's Nick, I used to own a '73 2L westie which needed a lot of TLC so I sold it... back to it's previous owner!!

Currently am kombiless; always regretted not buying a split that was on a farm near my old man's place at Nabiac - it was a blue aust. built (high vent) 11 window - would be interested if someone off here picked it up...

Will be looking probably toward the end of the year for a new project split at the end of the year after I finish studying (at the moment I'm a poor uni student, so no split).

Anyway, I've been hanging around here and reading a fair bit - you all seem pretty laid back which is cool - but haven't really posted much 'cause I don't actually have a kombi at the moment...

Bit long winded, but all I really wanted to say was G'day - so there it is

Nick.

Cheers mate - like I said, it won't be for a little while that I pick one up, but I'm always on the lookout, especially if I'm out and about.

Weren't you the guy with two barndoors - a ute and something else?

Thanks guys - will definitely be up for a cruise in the not too too distant future (I hope).

Shane: Bummer that there's not much around the local area - I'll be moving out west for work probably next year, so hopefully more luck then. In the meantime, I'll just save up my pennies - would like to 'rescue' one though - there's something cool about the idea of finding one rusting away in a paddock and fixing it up.
