You'll have to let me know how well they work although I'm pretty sure 70s Beetle boxes have a terminal for reverse lights.

im onto a lead.... just spoke to a bloke who was actually a member of the forbes club who bought the bus and also one of the guys who helped paint it yellow, sign it, etc.. now on his way to email me some photos on the field in use, and also get in touch with the family they bought it off, OG owners, etc, gave me alot of information, was a 'werck' when they bought it, never used under its own power at forbes, etc.....
