paint removal
Flipflop, what are you using to strip the overlaid paint off? I've got white paint on my cab roof which I'd like to remove to reveal the original turquise

Hey roon
Depends how thick the paint is, I use graffiti remover #4 & #5 to get light stuff off with 000 grade wire wool, sometimes I use 0000 wire wool on anything with a edge. For the top layers I use Kwikstrip paint stripper, very mild, you can leave it on for 5 - 10 mins, without it going through to the metal, that's on my van which has more than enough paint to get through, yours may be a lot quicker to burn through.

Decided to put the front wheels on and wheel it out so I could get the rhs door top off. Put some petrol in and gave it a start just to get the oil moving, the 2180 currently in it will be making way for a 2110 with dtm while I rebuild the 2180.
The nice thing about this is, as I strip the paint I get to see all the orginal panels. The lower front valance and lower nose was nice to see in original paint, not too often you see 51 1/2 year old metal there.
Quick video of the engine running.
