Answers to a few Qs
A guy who painted my mates lowlight and has painted a few of wayne penroses splits is painting it, it is a pretty good job, wont be perfect and wont win any best paint categories but it is a decent job, I really want to use it regularly, if not daily so wasnt going to spend big $ on a perfect job.
Yes it is mesh platinum, full delux interior from Wolfsburg West (TMI)

Ok, have got most parts painted and home and the bus will be home monday arvo if the weather is fine. Decided to try and put some of the popouts together so I could fit them when the bus got home and get some stuff out of the house. I put the seal on the new glass I got from George's yesterday, then apply some silicone and try to put them in the freshly painted frames I got from pat. After a while I decide something isnt right as there is no way it is going in there. I start thinking shit seals then start doubting pats workmanship (no complaints from anyone else so I knew there was nothing wrong with them) then I think it has to be the repro glass. I had one piece of glass I got from nicks yard so I compare them. Georges ones are close to 5mm bigger on one side and the corners are totally different :? I thought i would do a test and put them in the frames without a seal, well the original glass fits fine and the repro glass doesnt even fit without a seal  Well they will be all going back to gearge, not sure if any one else has bought any yet :?: The glass has CCC on them if anyone is interested.

Also I had to achieve something today for the bus so I decided to put the creative safaris together, had heard bad reports about how hard they are and people even buying wolfgang ones as they are already put together :? Well the first one took about 30mins to figure out how to get it together which was great, with the knowledge from the first one the next one took less than 5mins including tightening the screws, this was with the help of silicon spray and the missus and a rubber mallet. May offer a service if people are having trouble with theirs

Well its finally home, in paint and ready to be put back together. It looks good, very happy with the paint, not show car or perfect so I will be fine to use it daily :? Here's a couple of pics I took before the sun went down

The colour it is, is the colour it will stay, to be honest not a big fan of two tone unless you go with the delux trim. It will have lotus white bumpers, emblem and pop top on the outside and lotus white handbrake, steering column and gearstick on the inside. I am hoping to have it all back together by christmas and then when I get back from OS at the end of jan a new engine and gearbox and hopefully on the road by march, it seems a long time but as I read here and talk to people and previous experiences it always takes longer than you think. I really think march is realistic with nothing happening for 5 weeks over christmas.

Amazing. Take your time putting it back together as you dont want to scratch anything. It is amazing how long it takes to do stuff. i have been putting the 58 back together for over a year now and there is still a way to go
