Post by aircooled_nut »

Just thought I had better say G'day. First time blogger, long time reader!
Go easy on me please as i'm still trying to get my haed around this forum stuff.
Anyway, have been a long time dubber 71 beetle, 66 beetle ,56 beetle , 64 K Ghia and now a proud owner of a Jan 58 11 window(wife thinks the opposite!).
Will looking forward to futher posts as I SLOWLY restore the bus. I will see if i can put some pics up and start a new topic in the Resto part.
Cheers Phil.

No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you......

Thanks for all your kind words fellow dubbers. I'm not much of a metal person but will try to do as much as I can. I want it done right the first time, so that means I want to strip it right back and go the whole hog right down to every nut and bolt!!!
Plans are to keep it close to original but with a few mod cons and to make it a bit more safe. I'm not sure about colours but it will most definatley be 2 tone.
If it aint a split, it aint a split!
