Cat we got her off reckoned she's been sitting 20 years. Some guy parked it after brakes stopped working.
Its had a hard life though. Underneith is hammered. Gates are bent to the max. Tray floor is cactus ! Will be welding in a lot of steel.
Pulled front end and motor out today. Build rotisserie this week. Post pic's soon.

Not much has happened guy's. Thats the problem with relying on a mate who's flat out building Race cars...Kombi's just are not a priority. :(
Anyway, have done as much as I'd like to without rotisserie.
Here are some pic's after taking out 60 kilos of rust and Cooperpeedy bull-dust.

Daveo, looks like you 've got yourself a pretty solid starting place with the dual cab.Love the original shiny paint inside; after some furious cleaning i guess. Please put my name on the next dually you see in that sort of condition.Gotta get one.... Keep the pics flowing. Your old D.D. now lives 1 street away from me and is greatly treasured by the current owner and surrounding admirers. Cheers Tonz

Looks a great project - might as well weld in another door. The sills you can get of Indian in 1 piece - he makes the inner and outer for them, makes up the rest out of plate, just the two pieces that he's got patterns for ... trivia fact number 9 ... Kimm used to be a Pattern Maker years ago ... hence why they don't use import repro stuff.

Have rotisserie done and are getting on to body next week.(Yee haa )
Going to be a lot easier doing under body now i think. :D
She is a bit 'bottom heavy' but I amagine it would be spot on for a van.....more weight in roof. Storage floor in shed has limited us to only be able to spin on one axis. At least we dont have to much weight on top trying to pull ute out of mounting points.
Very happy with result. :P
