Today I got out in the sunshine and took some pics of the rust.
It maybe Buses 1 - Grinders 0 but it is definitely Buses 1/2 - Rust 1/2.
TONS of work.
What really worries me is the roof.
Most of the gutter on the driver's side is rusted through and the fact it's been jumped on means it's pushed the rust holes open, if you understand my meaning.
We may be looking at a donor roof.

The passenger step and bumper mount. The passenger door is stuck so I couldn't check the floor although I reckon it's be a match for the driver's door.

And horror once more......a rust hole above the B-pillar(?):
And right along above the cargo doors:
A rust hole at the bottom of the A-pillar:
And hints of rust inside, probably because of the hole outside:

So, donor roof or no?
I'd like to keep the roof and push it out rather than have another one but I'm not sure that's possible.
First the holes would have to be fixed, then the floor fixed, then probably some sort of jack mechanism to push it up.
A LOT of hard work.
Whatever the case there is plenty of time.
If there wasn't decent bits in her I'd part her out but I think she has a future.
Anyone have the number for Gerson.........??
