mmm. Painted the chassis last week, all fixed up - so Mr Rust can get fked. Looks good. Boring picture though. Right now the master cylinder thingy, which was new, is poo. So they gotta change it again. Theres a crap bearing in the steering, so that's gotta get fixed. Think that is about it.

Does eveyone get close to finishing, and then sorta get over it at the same time? Still it will happen for Narooma (touch wood).

I think that might be a common thing. After all the leg work and stress of working out how you want your custom resto done, once it all has been done I think there is a period where you are a bit over the whole thing. I also think that the first proper drive in it all registered and legit overcomes that entire feeling nad it is all up from there (except the ride height of course).
Maintain the faith Deano, it won't be long now.

Star Date : 2 weeks to Narooma...

Well the bus is booked in for a blue slip at the local joint tommorrow on the off chance that it will pass...(explanations to follow Steve)...basically got stuff all time, and this fits in with life, all be it for a brief moment tommorrow.

Now the bad news...maybe...it's a long time since I've driven something with drums all round...in fact my 61 Golde Beetle...so maybe it's me...but I worry about drum brakes....but I'm used to Subaru brakes...been slapped to being a nervious nelly...so here goes a few bucks.

With the deadline looming, better see if all the other stuff that's been done is up to scratch...tick tock...but at least this way it should be ready for Narooma even if I get knocked back...hopefully can sort the niggles tommorrow if that's the case...

I would indeed like number plates...

Mate, you will get by OK with the drums for the time being. Just make sure you have 2 or 3 times the gap you would normally have between you and the car in front. You will get all sorts cutting in front of you but just keep backing off and keep that separation.
Those pics are A1 you sure got it nice and straight.
