QLD is even worse - for just letters it's a once off of $2895.

Well I have to say in TAS they did get it partly right.. 3 letters 3 digits is $275 (I think), Euro "T" then 2 letters 3 numbers $575, then all out anything 2 to 6 alphanumeric is $1195 (once off on all).
There are other styles, like Football club styles, premium plates, etc which are all along the same lines...
When I say sort of got it right, the plate styles are lame compared to the NSW Euro plates that I have seen... I had to go to:
www.germanplates.com because I wanted a plate mounting mould for the front and back, nowhere local stocks that type of thing, that I could find... While I was there I got a set of plates too... It was $7.95USD for the bracket/surround/mould or $30USD for the same thing with a plate, so I figured what the heck... Got to choose whatever I wanted on the plate, registered that combo with TASPLATES as a Euro plate and now I have the best looking (combination not included in statement) plates on any of my cars.... IMHO...
Personal plates are only sensible/useful if they don't cost more than what they are on! For instance I would not get any for my Land Rover...

Panel van's for goods not kids.....it'd be a bit boring only being able to see out the back window.
