Things are progressing......but very slowly.
Rears brakes are refirbed with new shoes, wheel cylinders and machined drums.
Only need to bleed the system and brakes are done.

Yes mate for the mo it'll run with all stock kit. After the rust repairs are done i'll try to match the paint to how it is now and put the bull bar back on.
The plan is to leave it as ratty and original as possible until the missus gets the shits with it and lets me do the full bells and whistles.
As she will be driving it most of the time that shouldn't take long

It's so cool that you kept that agricultural yellow pulley.
A great build job so far.
I seriously thinking of doing the same to my '55 and just enjoying it before going to town with IRS, lowering, bigger motor, etc.
I'd forgotten how much fun low tech can be until the other day.
Cheers & God Bless

Mike - Got all my brake parts from VEE DUB SALVAGE at Mermaid Beach. Had to get the front cylinders rebuilt, worked out about half the cost of new German ones. Give John a call -07 55 753 977.

A few picks from yesterday.
I managed to get the drivers dog leg off only to find some more rust in the jacking point. The B pillar looks to have escaped the rust so thats cool.

Started fabbing up some replacement bits for the window sections, I'm no metal worker but they should do the trick.
