- before drilling the spring pack I drilled out an old lock from the centre locator, this prevented the threads in the trailing arm from getting damaged

- after securing the pack in place I removed the lock to the trailing arm and tapped it in to the new narrowed location, this exposed the extra spring pack to be removed

- To ensure the inner bush is tapped into the right place I marked the tool with the required depth

- here's a tool I knocked up to tap in the inner bush, made from 3 washers 1 bolt and a piece of round bar, this could also be used to remove the bushes with a slide hammer attachment, note the edges are ground flat to allow the tool to be fed through the b

progress report
got into work at 5:30 this morning, sanblasted the remainder of the front end bits and gave them a lick of jam, I still can't get over how much of this car is still genuine bits including the hub seals, the original felt style seals

front end fit up

Setting up the rear end
Not taking the regular approach to the rear end here, want is stupidly low with out huge negative camber and not interested in IRS just yet, I am in the process of re-designing the spring plates, flipping the RGB's running a sealed rgb set up, pros are using all the original running gear, cons, I know it's a big pain when changing a tyre and it's going to be a pain to set up but I love a challenge, took some measrements today and with a 10 inch drop there is still 1 - 2 inches of head room for the tyres I'm running and a slight negative camber on the axles.....sweet, more pics coming soon.

Classic thing about the tarp is that this bus has been in the rain for ever, I only have the tarp on so peeps won't spot it from the street at a glance, as for the bus wishing it had never been found by me, I bet the only part of the bus wondering what the hell is going down would be the steering box, if it could talk it would be like " Hey you aren't going do drive me around like this ......
