It hasnt been done yet, but going to try and use laminate, will put up some pics of it being done

Today was a monumental day, got to drive my split for the first time!!!!
It was only up the driveway tho
Need to bleed the brakes again and check a few things then I might venture out and do a lap around the block in the next day or so.
