progress pics
Long days, late nights......
Started setting up to mod the box for late model type 4 215mm clutch, thought while the box was out I would give it a strip and inspection, reseal etc.
As the box is not set up to accept a guide sleeve for the late style clutch I am going down the path of machining up a sleeve from scratch that will become an input shaft seal carrier and double as a thrust guide tube, hopefully this type of set up will be simple and not sacrifice the structure of the gearbox case
Here's a few pics
More to follow over the next few days, progress pending ofcourse.

Progress report, gearbox mods
Continued with box inspection and thrust guide mods today.
I managed to machine up the new style thrust guide bit fiddly but shit loads of fun, the guide is going to sit in where the old input seal goes with out modifying the case at all ,I sourced another lip type seal with a smaller outside dia., standard one was 40mm, new one is 34mm so that gives me 3mm all around, the seal will be fitted to the guide and then the guide will be installed into the box case, the guide has about 2 thou interference fit to the case and I will use some retaining compound to make sure she doesn't wiggle out of place.
