I see your mates did not get around to helping you with the welding =(
I am not the best welder in the world but I am realy enjoying doing it and I am getting better plus if anyone is looking so close to see my welds and don't like them they can get the FU#k out of my bus.

Or you could learn to weld better...

Always harder to lay a good weld with a smallish machine... Mine were always cocky shit until I bought a 215amp CIG weld..

Im marginally better but cant blame the equipment anymore..

Did you have to cut any/many of the strengthening ribs in the engine bay for the T3 lid to fit..?

Im after one if anyone is trashing a T3...

Hey Tony,
yes I had to cut thru the strenthening ribs so I cut the up right supports enough to weld to the bottom of the insert and once it was all welded in I then welded the strentheners to the insert this tighted it all up =).
and I can not blame the welder it is a 180 Amp so just don't look =)

Mate, i do envy you that you can do it yourself. I've been let down by three mates so far and another friend who owns a welding shop AND owns a Splitty has promised to do the welding for me as soon as he finishes his bus ..... he has been doing it for 12 years and counting !

Frustration has got the better of me and if i don't get it welded now it will never be done ! Hell Valla is only two years away after all !
