Back onto the door this arvo
Slow and steady is going to win this little race
Contemplating where to weld this little original section in from my original door to the bus

Gutsy move if you do given you’ve got a nice looking door there already.

Let me translate for those of you new to the internetCheeseboard wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 4:06 pm Gutsy move if you do given you’ve got a nice looking door there already.

Have you got any hacked areas in the bulkhead? Otherwise it’s a key ring for the spare key.

Tub time
I did sit there with the grinder in hand for 10 sec and think maybe standard height
And then I started cutting

Re: 58 mingo mango
So Braddick, what did you decide to do with the bullet hole?
I was talking to an artist mate of mine about the desire of many purists in the resto scene that try to save as much OG paint as possible (sometimes to the point of obsession). I showed him the bullet hole cut and that you have additional metal from bits you’ve cut out plus the recent tub cuts. Mate reckons he could whip up something real nice to hang on the wall from your leftovers if you’re happy to part with them down the track.
Anyway, PLEASE don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just throwing out an option.

If my door was more rooted and needed lower repair piece
I would of for sure welded it there
The art work for cut out sections sounds pretty cool tho
There is a lady on thesamba build thread section that sells cut out sections from her bus that’s she’s working on
She makes keyring pieces with a happy meme and a number stamped into them and then sells them to funding her project
All good thanks for taking interest in the mango build
Cheers
