Getting there bit by bit. Not sure what motor to put in it.I have a rebuilt 1641 with a cam that was going to go in it with beetle gearbox. I have just found out that the motor that we pulled out is a 1600 twin port with a new case. Stamped AD with no numbers. Thought this motor was seized but the fly wheel was jammed against the gearbox.Turns over fine now that it is out.

Just wondering if you are keeping it a left hooker or converting it?

As you can see in the pic above the sill is made from roof guttering with some good old american hardwood backing. So if you want to save money get your sills from Bunnings.
Yes it is staying left hand drive. If you must have right hand drive, buy right hand drive. Just ruins them in my opinion if you convert them.

That is sweet. Love it. How did that timber sill make it through customs?

So Sketty have you had any issues with any of the fixed windows when you have rotated the bus - or haven't you turned her yet?
Thanks
