Pick-up Project
I recently stumbled upon a 50s split window pick-up on a farm while road tripping through NSW in my lowlight. Pretty stoked as I love single cabs and I've been looking into a splitty project for a while. I'm struggling to figure out the year, so I'm hoping someone can help me figure that out. I couldn't find much ID on the bus. The farmer is driving it up to Brisbane in a couple of weeks and I'm pretty excited to get to work on it.
Anyway, here's some pictures:

Re: Pick-up Project
Lucky man !
I'd say it's a 55 as it's got high semaphores, maybe 56 had that as well ? Should be number stamped into the body on the right hand side in where in the engine sits ..can't miss it.
You have the rear and front ribbed bumpers which are very very nice to have and at least 1 tail light looks complete.
Gates don't look to bad either ! A little gem.
Well done and welcome to DSK.
Best

2 very nice cars there.
The ute could be the twin of my ute.
What is the chassis number?

Cool, will have to check out your ute. Whereabouts can I find the chassis number? I'll have a look for it next weekend when he arrives. I was thinking of doing that VW Birth Certificate thing...IN2VWS wrote:2 very nice cars there.
