Re: Might have to kickoff this 61 D/C resto
Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've posted on here but a change in circumstances will see me around more often.
Fair bit of work in this one but it does have good bones. One of the first to arrive in OZ. Been in dry storage for 16 years.
The good:
Panelwork from the bulkhead forward has been completed.
NOS side gates and mint rear gate. Hardware as well.
All seats
OG hoops
Have replacement panels for sides, ute bed, corners and pillars/sills
Have indicators, tail lights
Doors, engine lid and valance are ok.
All replacement seals
Factory safaris Bus
Have bumpers
The bad:
Previous owner lost the VIN plate and there aren't any numbers stamped in the engine compartment. I do however have the original numbers and a blank VIN plate that would pass inspection.
He also was in the process of de seaming/guttering the vehicle and as a consequence needs new gutters, the roof has now been cut off and there's the rear section from a SC that could be used but I think I'm more inclined to just buy a full replacement roof clip.
There's no running gear, engine or gearbox but I would have been replacing those anyway, it's on castors/dolly so I can move it.
Also needs a new floor from the bulkhead back.
I have a little of the glass and a couple of popouts but no safaris.
