Sunshine coast to Tas and back
I've been planning this trip for a while .
It's been on again and off again quite a few times
- not really knowing if I can get the time off from work,
- not knowing if family stuff would allow it
- etc etc
Anyways it all seems to have come together in the last couple of months.
Thanks Matt Berry for your help in getting the car into shape.
The plan is ; Depart Sunshine coast 28th Dec. to Melb. via Sydney and Hume hwy.on to the Spirit of Tas Jan 1st to Devonport and back on it again 1st Feb and about 6 days to get home up the coast - roughly 6 weeks away camping .
The bus that we are going in will be known by some on this forum as Dutchy's old panel van - not as low as it used to be, but with a bit of a camping setup in the rear now.
We will have fairly limited internet access a lot of the time - but I will try and update from time to time.
anyways cheers for now
must continue packing and last day of work tomorrow.
Will post some pics in time if my Ipad allows me to

Thanks Guys,
shall try and post some pics and updates as we go - not very tech savvy though with my Ipad.
And will certainly be trying to keep clear of those mad gooses like the one in the Audi in "Anything Goes"

I've been trying to send some pics on my IPad but don't seem to be able to resize them - keep getting the message that the file is too large

iPhone pics automatic will upload to Photobucket. Then just copy IMG from Photobucket & paste here... It's that easy. I've done it for yearssssjohno wrote:I've been trying to send some pics on my IPad but don't seem to be able to resize them - keep getting the message that the file is too large

I don't have an iPhone though ,just an iPad.
Seems very easy to send pics to personal email addresses but trying to attach them as a file to this forum I can't seem to reduce them in size.
It will be about another 5 weeks before I'm home and can upload the pics.
But, as a bit of an update, we are now camping seaside at The Bay of Fires. The ocean is visible from our bed.
The trip across on the Spirit of Tas was very uneventful, then the next day we travelled up an down both sides of the Tamar river and the camped at the weld borough pub, even sat in front of a wood fire in the pub last night. This morning we had a look at St Columba falls, then made our way to St Helens and then on to this camp sight. Probably going to spend acouple of nights here now and then a few nights camping with some other family members at Scamander.

I would advise to eat from Ian's bakery, it is delicious, bay of fires is beautiful
Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!

Johno... doesn't matter if you have an iPhone, iPad, laptop or office computer... just download the App or login via the net to Photobucket.johno wrote:I don't have an iPhone though ,just an iPad.

Silver bullet will probably be passing thru Bicheno on Sunday.
