Here are some more pictures matty 8)
Oh and Al. That vid is sweet! She is back to being a rollar :D

Front discs went on and were given a coat of high temp caliper paint
Image

Since the bus is being tackled as a backburner project, and hence may sit for a while, the discs themselves were painted as well - the paint will be removed quickly on its first drive under its own steam
Image

The rear trailing arms and spring plates went back on with new bushings, bearings etc
Image

Drums to go on shortly so it will be a roller very soon
Image

After all this time the old girl is finally back on her wheels! Front will need to come up a bit (unfortunately), and maybe rear down a bit to even out the 'drag bus' rake
Image

The dropped spindles certainly pull the wheels up a fair way....getting the rear wheels on and off is not an easy task though.

hey mate looks really nice i dont know much about the mechanical side of VW as im young and still learning did you need to get a narrowed front beam so the wheels dont scrub out with drop spindles?

Nah, not narrowed. Stock width beam with adjusters and dropped spindles.

harley the dropped spindles just lowers the height of the centre of the wheel (ie. stub axle) 3.5 inches but they don't push the wheels out at all which means you don't need to narrow. Unless Jack runs lower profile tyres the height will have to come up a bit with the adjusters as there is bugger all clearance between the inner arch (dogleg) and tyre.....looks cool but will make a mess on a big bump especially if turning!

Looking very very nice, must be getting excited.
Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!

At the moment Al is in the US for a while looking at all the Volks shows with the fam.

Still here are some pics I forgot to post before he left.

Ride height still to be fine tuned after paint however overall looking pretty good!
