Re: 58 mingo mango
Well not a lot of progress lately with work and family getting in the road of my hobbies
But the cold weather has brought me back into the shed
Getting closer to finishing the grinding of the floor welds

Re: 58 mingo mango
Well with another lockdown 5.0 here in kick a vic state due to the China delta virus and some very cold and wet weather it's been good to get the music going and the shed fire going and get back to making progress on the mango
Got the passenger dog leg in, it was a bbt weld thro silver panel from Gordon ( thanks bud) it went in pretty good with only a small about of tweaking needed. As this was my first dog leg repair I was preparing myself with all the hardship involved with getting this put in and lined up, happy to say it went in pretty good
Also got the passenger floor repair piece welded in also
Dare I say it the rust repair section to replace is getting smaller with one big one to go ROOF, stay tuned
Cheers

Re: 58 mingo mango
Looking good mate. I hated doing doglegs, I used the KF 2 piece version and it was a bloody battle. You’re killing it.

Good to hear feedback on the doglegs, mine are all full of holes but are the barndoor style, so still deciding which vendor to use for them!
Kicking goals with it tho!

Good to see you back on it mate, I’m busting to know if you are just cutting a big hole in the roof or getting a new one, I remember you have the inner panels already, maybe I’ll just ring Gorden and see if he sold you a roof!

Re: 58 mingo mango
Well not a lot of progress for a couple of months due to work, live and been a slack arse
Anyway managed a few hours in the shed this arvo with the sound of rain falling outside
A very dodgy inner dog leg repair going on
Welding up some rust holes plus a patch repair all in the name of maintaining og paint on the outer dogleg
