Back in The Game - '60 11 Window
So have been doing a bit of horse trading with Gaz and have done a deal and scored this in trade for another Germanic beast……
Gaz has been doing the hards yards to remove the Subi engine it had and take it back to stock VW as I have a 2054 to go into it.
Got this full length rack 90% built on the weekend, not sure whether to paint it or let it rust!

Re: Back in The Game - '60 11 Window
Thanks guys
Gaz has been kindly assisting in the 'de-subification' process and at the moment there is some OG steel from another bus going back in to where a hatch was cut in and where the radiator used to be.
I'll finish welding and painting this weekend with luck and then fuel tank back in ready for the VW engine to go in so I can free up some space in Gazza's shed!
After that its front buckets out and a stock bench seat in and then a bit to do on fitting out the interior.
Still debating whether I go back to stock height as I have a stock beam and rebuilt RGB trans with a tall ring & pinion as well as a set of 4wd tyres I think at some point I'll have to try it out just to see......

Re: Back in The Game - '60 11 Window
Few pics of progress. OG metal back in.
Engine cover, inspection hatch and new crossmember back in as well as floor repair sections. Sorry no shots of the finished work. Will try to snap a couple next weekend.
Everything has received a healthy does of under body sealer / deadener.
New fuel tank has gone in and Gazza and I spent Saturday putting the donk in. Lucky Gaz now has the fun job of pulling out all of the additional spaghetti needed for the Subaru engine!
Hopefully fire it up next weekend.

Cam, where do you get the time??? I seem to take forever just to decide what to do next- and here you are on to another straight away!! Keep the stock look and height - and there's no telling where that bus will take you!
