Just bought this from a young guy in Sydney. First splitty! 3rd Kombi...Picked up a matching 62 Beetle while I was up there with a car trailer on. Pics to come.

No idea about the roof rack. It seems to suit the old girl though. And yes, Deano has dibbs on the rack if I get rid of it.

I am looking for a pair of Bus doors to give it some light in the back. Anyone know of someone with a pair in reasonable condition they want ot sell?

Also, are there any events, besides the shoot out in Sydney, that are planned before Christmas?

And one final thing, is there a preferred mechanic for splitties in Canberra. The Bay goes to A&R in Mitchell, and am reaonably happy with him, but not sure about the split. Suggestions would be good. Happy to take PMs if there are sensitivities.

Took this photo recently and thought it would be good to share.

The beetle is 62 as well and will be on the road by Christmas. Simple, new motor, new wheels and some welding and then she's a goer.
