Have cut the inner skin here and have a replacement ready to slot in.

That's about it until Friday, my mate is keen to head out and meet the guru to do somemore cutting and welding.

Today I decided to spend my Birthday out at the Split.

Got a bit more done. Top of the front nose panel made up and welded into place.

Thanks mate, it was a good birthday and happy we have made more progress, have somemore photos of the day to chuck up soon.

This bus IS definately staying a Rat!!!

I just need to try match the paint on all these new rust panels. :roll:

I made up a piece for the middle front floor pan the other day, cut it out with a piece of cardboard and measureed it out and then cut the metal and we shaped it up. Came out really good fitted in perfectly.

Any sunburn on your arms from all the welding? I know how it feels!!

I can also see those sandals are prime candidate for some hot sparks wedging between your toes (I know how that feels too!!).

I'm not doing the welding myself, I have noticed his safety footware though.
